Verification of the properties crimp joint
Horák, Ondřej ; Hruška, Ondřej (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the description of mechanically unbreakable conections, called crimp connection. The most often used materials are copper, brass and bronze. The crimp connections are divided into joints with an open tube, closed tube and crimp isolation. The joint is formed by bending of the parties of the crimp, where a consequent plastic deformation results in a mechanically non-detachable joint. The post production control of the crimp consists of visual inspection, measure of the crimp height, supplementary tearing test and cutting the crimp. No visual defect in testing two types of crimp connections was detected. The measured crimp height corresponds to the values specified by the manufacturer. During the tear test, the desired values were not achieved by incorrectly attaching the wire to the clamping mechanism and no manufacturing defects were detected at the final check of the cut.
Proposal of casting technology for cooper alloy castnig with regard to their quality and productivity of fininishing oprations
Herzán, Jiří ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
This paper is created based on the real situation in Armatmetal s.r.o. Based on customer requirements and possible reduction of finishing operations at the end of production in the foundry. The foundry technology of gravity casting into sand molds is changed to gravity casting into metal mold. To change technology at Armatmetal s.r.o. two types of castings were selected. The "Kloub 55 s vidlicí" casting was selected by the customer to test the new technology. Casting "Klínová koncovka KN10" was chosen by Armatmetal s.r.o. because of the structural design of the casting and the high repeatability of production. Castings are the subject of the paper. The diploma thesis includes methods of solving the elimination of foundry defects occurring on a complicated casting " Kloub 55 s vidlicí". The main aim of the thesis is to assess the technical-economic contribution of the change of foundry technology of the casting " Klínová koncovka KN10". The paper also includes a complex comparison of the current and new technology production with related problems and their solutions.
Production and properties of advanced Cu-based alloys castings
Kryštůfek, Tomáš ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kaňa, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on well-arranged processing of production copper alloy castings. Following a brief historical introduction, a process of producing crude copper is first developed. Attention is paid to the sources of copper in nature and the subsequent melting of copper in furnace and converter. Furthermore, the technology of melting copper alloys is elaborated meaning melting devices, melting gases, melting directions and deoxidation. Very high purity copper can be produced by refining the crude copper in an electrolyte or by electroslag remelting and melted according to three technological processes. There are finally elaborated the processes of melting, properties and use of bronze and brass in detail - foundry copper alloys.
